What is your professional background & experience?

I have worked in higher education for over 20 years now. Most recently as a senior lecturer in Construction Management, but I also have experience in the computing and disaster fields. I love teaching and being able to engage with students from a range of backgrounds. As a mature-age first-in-family student myself, I understand the challenges of navigating University life and strive to be inclusive and equitable. There is nothing better than seeing someone who has their life transformed through the power of education.

What are you excited about bringing to our Campus?

I want to be able to help students get the most from their study experiences. Help them find the confidence and skills to be able to develop to their full potential. I grew up in a small coastal town in Port Stephens, and had to leave home to be able to study. I’d love to be able to help students stay connected with their country while also pursuing their dreams through higher education.
