Cadetship Opportunities for Students Supported by TUC

We’ve partnered with a group of brilliant MidCoast businesses to create a mutually beneficial opportunity for online students and local employers alike.

Students engaged in specific supported degrees - outlined blow - are eligible to receive additional support in connecting with paid cadetship opportunities in our area.

There are great benefits to engaging in a local cadetship throughout your degree:

  • Get a practical context to your degree from day one. This is open to students at any stage of their degree, from those just starting out to others who have progressed further in their studies.

  • A cadetship is paid employment, not an unpaid internship, giving those who have financial commitments the chance to supplement their income in a way that’s highly relevant to their career development

  • Perfect for school leavers and career changers, as the only requirement for application is that you are enrolled in one of the degrees noted above.

How to apply:

  1. Enter your name, contact details and upload a resume in the form below. You will also need to upload evidence of your application to study - this can be a PDF, screenshot, etc. of your documentation provided during your application process.

  2. You will be interviewed by our Campus Careers Advisor, Ben Archer.

  3. Successful applicants will be coached in their interview strategy, supported in developing a covering letter and refining their resume if necessary, before being connected with one of our partner businesses for their own interview.
