Community Connector

What is your connection to the Mid Coast?

I was born and raised on the mid Coast and I am the third generation to live here. I love everything about our region and what it has to offer, from the landscape, the people, the lifestyle, the adventures that can be had here while still being close enough for a city fix when you need one.

Why TUC? What does this project mean to you?

I run the Community Connector Program at TUC, I  welcome new arrivals from all over the world who look at our region as a place to settle for themselves and their families as well as working closley with small and large businesses within the Mid Coast across private and Public sectors.

It means everything to me, to help people on a daily basis, to make their time here more enjoyable,  making it an easier transition while seeing businesses thrive with new staff is really important for all as well as the overall health outcomes locally for residents needing to see many of our new Health related staff working locally and staying long term.

What does success look like for you and TUC?

Success for our program would be that with the hundreds of people we are bringing into the region that of those people we have a large amount of them stay long term. That these families  end up loving our region and see a life here for themselves and their famlies.

Success also is within local business, that workplaces have staff members that are staying long term, bringing new life and cultures into local business and from that across the health sector that there is now shorter wait times for our local community when requiring  a service or an appointment for whatever it is they need.
