What is your professional background & experience?

I am a passionate educator and have worked in Primary Education for 14 years. I have predominately worked in Catholic Education in Sydney and more recently at Old Bar Public School in a part time capacity. I have experience across all grades in Primary School and have been a school executive for the past eight years.

I have a Bachelor of Education, Masters of Education, Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and Masters in Theology. More recently I have completed two Gifted Education short courses. In my most recent role as Assistant Principal, I was an instructional leader and teacher educator. I feel like I have been studying for most of my career and would love to be able to give back and help those embarking on the challenge that study brings.

What are you excited about bringing to our Campus?

We recently made a sea change to the Mid North Coast and while I am still teaching, working for TUC has shown me a way to use my knowledge and skillset beyond the classroom.  

Being teachers, we have a huge responsibility to the children in our care, every little person brings with them their own needs and experiences and it is a such a challenge to differentiate learning to ensure every single child achieves success in their own way. I hope that I can assist education students by sharing my knowledge and experience to help produce more quality teachers for the area.
