Inventory Controller Gloucester NSW

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing stock levels across Leveltec’s NSW warehouse and coordinating with additional warehouses nationally. This is a hands-on role that combines inventory accuracy, warehouse coordination, purchasing support, and logistics oversight.

You will be the backbone of our internal operations, ensuring we can deliver reliably and efficiently to customers across Australia. 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Open and close the warehouse; ensure materials, packaging, and equipment are ready for daily operations

  • Oversee inbound and outbound goods: receiving, dispatching, packing, palletising, and labelling

  • Operate forklift and manage pallet racking, storage, wrapping, and warehouse organisation

  • Process purchasing, goods receipting, job orders, sales order picking/packing, and warehouse transfers

  • Conduct cycle counts and regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records

  • Complete assembly and job order close-outs with accuracy

  • Coordinate with local and international suppliers, freight partners, and logistics companies

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment

  • Support accurate CRM and ERP data to enable smooth sales and operational forecasting

ROLE IN THE SALES DELIVERY PROCESS

  • Participate as a key stakeholder in our bi-weekly Sales & Operations meetings

  • Escalate stock risks or supply issues early to ensure customer orders remain on track

  • Own inventory accuracy to support customer demand across NSW, WA, and QLD stock locations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and maintain stock levels to meet demand while minimising overstock

  • Ensure all inventory transactions, transfers, and adjustments are accurately recorded

  • Perform audits and cycle counts across multiple warehouses nationally

  • Use inventory management software (Ostendo) for tracking, forecasting, and replenishment

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to optimise stock flow

  • Reduce waste and support efficient use of materials

Essential:

  • Experience with inventory management systems

  • Strong logical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities

  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Reliable, punctual, and confident in a hands-on warehouse environment

  • Comfortable packing boxes, moving goods, and switching between admin and physical tasks

  • Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, electrical, or technical distribution environments

  • Comfortable coordinating across multiple warehouses or multi-site operations

Work Arrangements:

Full-time or part-time with flexible hours to suit school and childcare schedules
