Junior Draftsperson (NSW Office Onsite)

We’re also open to applications from mechanically minded tradespeople who are excited to step off the tools and upskill into drafting. Just keep in mind: this is a junior role, and we’re looking for someone who wants to learn, support our existing processes, and grow with the business.

To qualify, applicants must have completed, be currently completing, or be willing to commence a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to create and manipulate engineering drawings and 3D CAD models

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver concept and detailed design models and drawings

  • Support the project team with documentation, revisions, and coordination of models and drawings

  • Maintain design templates, drawing standards, and controlled engineering documentation

  • Assist with quality control tasks and related technical paperwork

  • Engage with workshop assembly teams for hands-on understanding and validation of designs (full-circle learning)

Qualifications

Enrolled in, completed, or willing to begin a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (mandatory requirement)

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

  • Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks and DraftSight preferred)

  • Familiarity with technical drawings and engineering terminology

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem-solving ability and willingness to collaborate with others

  • Intermediate computer literacy

  • Mechanical aptitude as you will be supporting workshop assembly and gaining practical exposure
