Stronger Together: Championing Community Connection at the 2026 Allied Health Conference
Friday, 15 May 2026 • At the recent #StrongerTogether Allied Health Conference, our Community Connector, Kate Dunn, took the stage to share how genuine connection is driving regional workforce sustainability. Highlighting her work supporting over 300 health professionals and their families to settle on the Mid Coast, Kate demonstrated that when we prioritise people and community, we build a healthier, more resilient future for us all.
Cultural Orientation – Pilot Program
28 April 2026 • TUC held its first Cultural Orientation Program - the first of many being led by Biripi leaders and Elders. The session was an immersive, place-based learning experience held on Biripi Country. Through storytelling, cultural knowledge sharing, and honest conversations, participants were encouraged to reflect on history, consider its continuing impacts, and explore their own role in contributing to a more respectful and just future.
The Community Connector Program – Growing Stronger Every Year
Since October alone, the Community Connector Program has supported 100 professionals to relocate to the MidCoast with their families. These skilled professionals are strengthening vital services across our region — from GPs and nurses to engineers, childcare staff and community leaders.
