A Human Library is a library of people instead of books. In the TUC Human Library Series 1, as part of our Learning Community Project, we brought together some of the diverse people in the Mid Coast region to share their stories of resilience, tenacity and success.

On 11 May 2024, Taree Universities Campus hosted "Tastes & Tales," celebrating MidCoast's diverse culinary heritage. Residents shared family recipes and stories, fostering community connections and cultural appreciation. The event highlighted the power of food in bringing people together.

On April 13, 2024 our community came together for YAF24, an annual event dedicated to immersing young individuals aged 12 to 24 in the vibrant arts scene of our region. This year's event, filled with workshops, performances, and a spirit of togetherness, proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.

The Grand Opening Event at 2 Pulteney Street Taree was a momentous occasion for us at Taree University Campus (TUC), marking our transition to a larger premises and amplifying our impact on the education landscape of the Mid Coast region. We were thrilled to welcome a diverse array of community members, local representatives and key stakeholders who gathered to witness and celebrate this pivotal moment.

This week we were thrilled to open our doors at our official new home at 2 Pulteney Street, Taree! Education Minister Jason Clare joined us to mark the occasion and take a tour of the new facility, as one of the Federal Members instrumental in making Regional Study Hubs a much-needed reality.

Friday 08 December saw our first Beats on the Bank Music Festival exploding onto our local entertainment scene to great success! The Festival was designed to showcase the wealth of emerging talent in our region, giving our young people a night to have a fun (and safe) experience with their mates.

Beats on the Bank, the much-anticipated music festival is gearing up to deliver an electrifying experience as an impressive line-up has now been finalised in collaboration with MSR Entertainment. This December 8 festival promises to be a celebration of local talent and a showcase of musical diversity, with a blend of soloists, bands, and headlining acts, many of whom call the NSW Mid Coast home.

CareerQuip 2023 is bringing opportunities for Mid Coast locals to explore career options with the return of CareerQuip on July 27th and organizers are pleased to advise exhibitor registrations are now open. 

We recently held our inaugural Youth Arts Festival at the Manning Entertainment Centre. Thanks to Prime 7 News for covering our successful day.

The Search for a Song workshop held on Friday the 17th with Scott Greenaway and Matty Zarb was a wonderful night of creativity, bravery and, of course, pizza.
