Second Annual Mullet Run BBQ

The Taree community came together in celebration and connection as TUC, alongside Biripi AMS, hosted their second annual Mullet Run BBQ event to celebrate the start of Mullet season.

Held in front of the TUC building, the day was made even more special with Ngarralinyi Radio broadcasting live, bringing the vibrant atmosphere to listeners near and far. Community members, staff, and respected Elders gathered to share stories, laughter, reinforcing the strong sense of unity.

A highlight of the event was the fresh mullet, proudly caught by local fisherman Al Saunders, last of the proud Biripi fishermen. 

The event was a great success, with hopes to continue growing this annual tradition that celebrates culture, community, and connection and the beginning of the mullet season
