Chatham High School Industry Excursion

Hospitality and Food Technology students from Chatham High School participated in an Industry Excursion on 28 July 2026. As part of the excursion, students visited MidCoast Council to learn about careers in Environmental Health. They then attended Taree Universities Campus, where they took part in a variety of pathway and career-focused activities exploring hospitality industry opportunities and explored the Human Library to hear first-hand experiences of hospitality related careers. Students also visited The Artisan Farmer, where proprietor Grant Bourke provided a delicious lunch. During the visit, students enjoyed a guided tour of the business and gained valuable insights into its operations, including the paddock-to-plate process and the journey of food production from farm to table.
