Reimagine the Floodline Art Workshops
July 2026 • A year after the biggest floods on record in our region, Taree Universities Campus brought our community together for two creative workshops to transform memories of the floods into something hopeful. Using black-and-white flood photographs as a starting point, participants added colour, paint and collage to create vibrant artworks that reflect resilience, strength and renewal.
TUC Campus Reopens: A Fresh Start for Regional Students After Flood Recovery
Eight months after the devastating floods of May 2025 left the Taree Universities Campus building barely recognizable, on January 29 we officially reopened our doors, restored and revitalised for the new year. What was once a scene of mud and destruction has been transformed into a fresh, modern study space, ready to welcome a new cohort of students.
2025 Flooding Disaster and the Impact on TUC
On May 21, 2025, the MidCoast region of New South Wales experienced a catastrophic flood event that left another indelible mark on our community. Much sooner that any of our residents would have wished for, our community found itself once again finding its feet in the wake of tragedy.
