Students Transitions Achievement Retention & Success (STARS) Conference

Gemma Death presenting at the Students Transitions Achievement Retention & Success (STARS) Conference in Cairns.

This week, Evan and Gemma attended the Students Transitions Achievement Retention & Success (STARS) Conference in Cairns. As first-time attendees, they immersed themselves in a range of workshops, connecting with colleagues across the sector and exploring innovative approaches to student support. A highlight was the opportunity to present on EduVenture (edventure.org.au), TUC’s unique co-curricular platform designed to enhance student engagement, wellbeing, and success.

The conference sparked rich conversations about how universities are evolving to meet the needs of future learners—building inclusive, student-centred environments. It was a fantastic chance to share TUC’s story and learn from others equally passionate about helping students thrive. At TUC, we remain deeply committed to students’ safety, wellbeing, and success throughout their educational journey.
