Home Care Support Worker - Australian Unity

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

 

We are currently recruiting staff throughout Australia and most likely in a region near you! If successful from interview, you will be working locally for the branch closest to where you reside.

Your New Role

  • Help at Home: such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation etc.

  • Transportation and Personal Care: Experienced staff assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.

  • Client Awareness: Building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training

  • Safety Practices: Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

 

Key Requirements

  • Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle

  • Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday

We welcome applicants that have the below experience and/or a qualification

  • Disability Support Worker, Aged Care Support Worker

  • Community Services/ Mental Health worker

  • Personal Care Worker

  • Assistant in Nursing (AIN)

  • Bachelor of Social Work/ Nursing 

 

You could be an experienced Support Worker or even new to the industry coming from experience in customer service, administration, retail or hospitality.
