Growth Through Equity - Symposium Success for TUC

The 2024 National Conference for Regional, Rural and Remote Education (NCRRRE), held in Coffs Harbour, focused on "Growth Through Equity," emphasizing collaboration between education providers and local communities. The conference addressed critical themes such as education pathways, student engagement, and the significance of First Nations knowledge in shaping regional education. Taree Universities Campus staff attended and presented various projects and activities, showcasing their impact. TUC Board Chair Alison McIntosh also participated, sharing her expertise on Regional University Study Hubs and networking with other stakeholders.

On the first morning of the conference, Donna Ballard, CEO of TUC, also cordially accepted one of the few Australian Rural Education Awards that were celebrated. TUC received the ‘Community Centric Award’ for its annual career expo, CareerQuip, which in 2024 has approximately 1800 school students and 75 exhibitors in attendance in early August.
