Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
Develop your engineering skills right here on the Mid Coast.
CQUniversity's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) develops your problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills through project-based learning, so you can graduate work-ready. Your first year provides a general understanding of engineering, allowing you to experience each discipline before choosing your path.
Majors are available in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Resource Systems Engineering, with specialisation options including Data Analytics, Industrial Automation, Renewable Energy, Agricultural Machinery, Humanitarian Engineering and more — preparing you for both traditional and emerging fields.
Upon completion, you'll be qualified to work as a professional engineer in your chosen field. On the Mid Coast, engineering skills are in demand across civil construction, infrastructure development, manufacturing, energy and resource sectors — supporting the region's continued growth.
If you hold a TAFE qualification and relevant trade experience, you may be eligible for recognised prior learning through the Trade Practice elective, which could reduce your course duration.
